Frequently Asked Questions

The extension doesn't appear in Safari
Make sure you've enabled the extension in Safari Settings > Extensions. If it still doesn't appear, try restarting Safari or your device.
Auto-reload stops when I switch tabs
This is expected behavior when "Smart Mode" is enabled. Smart Mode pauses reloading for inactive tabs to save battery and bandwidth. You can disable this in the extension settings.
The countdown timer is not showing
Make sure the countdown display is enabled in the extension settings. You can also adjust its position and size from there.
Content monitoring isn't detecting changes
Content monitoring compares page content between reloads. Make sure you've selected the appropriate monitoring mode. For dynamic content that changes frequently (like timestamps), try using element-specific monitoring.
How do I restore my subscription?
Open the WatchTab app, go to the subscription screen, and tap "Restore Purchase". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Does WatchTab work on iPhone/iPad?
Yes! WatchTab works on iOS 16.4+ and iPadOS 16.4+. However, please note that auto-reload only works while Safari is in the foreground due to iOS system limitations.
